There is beauty in the mundane.
Many years ago, after a cup of tea, my teacher posted a dripping tea bag on the wall and asked me to paint it. I mixed some tea stains in it as well. That exercise was soothing. Just thinking about it again suddenly brought me back to the sky-lit art studio of DUCTAC in Dubai.
Et Voila!
For years, this was just sitting inside my boxes along with many others. You see, I have amassed a collection of my own artworks sleeping in my attic and didn't know what to do with them. When we moved, a friend suggested that I display some of my work at home.
I mulled it over and finally gathered the courage to create a gallery wall with family photographs and another oil painting (The Pensive Boy) above the piano.
Painting and Hand Drawing in different mediums are hobbies that I would like to dip my hands in again.
