Title: "Woman of Color"
Dimension: 9x12'
Medium: Oil Pastel
Year Created: 2020
First, I made an outline using my pencil and then I started tracing it using the #12 Brown oil pastel and tried to blend the colors in the face area.
Then, proceed to the neck area and worked on the shadow and then started coloring her black hair.
The specific part of the portrait which I immensely found challenging the cloth that wrapped her hair because there are so much going on in that area but I also find it enjoyable and fun to do.
Lastly, I picked silver as its background color. Viola! Here is the oil pastel portrait entitled as "Woman of Color"
