Let me just say, before getting into things, that the hope articulated in my Power Up Day announcement post, that Hive will soon moon, lingers.
It's been a challenging time for a number of us - for a whole range of reasons and I'd like to believe that these things pass and we all come out stronger. That said, it's in difficult times that one realises how much hands-up really do help. It's also why I continue supporting the monthly Hive Power Up Day that @traciyork manages by offering three, three-week 100HP delegations to selected accounts that participate in Hive Power Up Day.
If you don't know what happens on Hive Power Up Day and how accounts stand to gain, read the Official Winners' post and join next month?
I have it on good authority that it'll be a big one because it's the first anniversary of @traciyork formally taking on the job.
Thank you Traci
And, if I might be so bold, thank you for taking it on, Traci, and for the awesomesauce job you do. I'm delighted to have some small association with it.
What delegations, why?
Well, coming up a year or so ago, and when Traci took over, I decided that it was time for me to give it back, pay it forward or just make a contribution to supporting newbies on the Hive. So partly because I have participated in this initiative for nearly two years, not long after @streetstyle launched it, and to support my witchy friend, I delegate an equal share of 300 Hive among three accounts that meet the basic Power Up Day Criteria.
In my case, though, and given my focus on redfish, the accounts must also be -
- be less than 6 months old
- have at least two qualifying posts since the previous power up day.
Posts that qualify must have 200 words or more and exclude posts for Power Up Day, and Actifit.
As a reminder, the reason I added the second criterion is because -
Hive is a social blockchain: it's for socialising, ruminating and just generally hanging out.- a reputation of less than 61
- not more than 500 HP in their accounts before they power up - both on the first of the month
Qualifying accounts for June
For the last several months there have been, to use Traci's expression, "slim pickings", but not so this month. This time round there were six accounts to choose from, so I used an online random pick thingy (thanks, Traci!) to make the selection - no favouritism here!
Here's how it unfolded:
I typed six accounts into the random thing:
Delegations
So, three, 100HP delegations have been sent to @sofs-su, @cibersk8 and @flordulceysalado for the next three weeks. Check your wallets!
Proof of delegation
But that's not all
Oh, and remember that in addition to the delegations, these accounts are added to my fanbase and receive a daily 100% upvote and I ask @ginabot to notify me each time they post. If I have an opportunity, I pop over and have a gander and occasionally weigh in on whatever the post may be about.
A last word - or two
Thanks to @traciyork, @victoriabsb and @hivebuzz for all the hard work they do each month - and around the blockchain, generally.
Thanks, as always to @doze for the super Hive graphics that he develops and shares for us all to use. Do check out his posts and perhaps drop by and show some Hive love.
Until next time, be well
