Can Someone Explain These Tribes and Tags Please?

Hi all, I have been around Hive for a bit now and there are still things I fear or don't understand.

One such thing is all the 'tribes' and their tags I see.

For example. I see #neoxian #proofofbrain #palnet #teamuk a lot. I also see #ctp and #leofinance or #leo a lot but they seem to be at least somewhat focused on finances.

However, ALL of these seem to get put on some people's posts all the time. I've seen #ctp and #leo on non-finance posts for example. And #neoxian or #proofofbrain and the others I've seen on a wide range of subjects.

I'm sure there are even more of these than I've listed.

Mostly I have avoided using the tags because I'm afraid of using them wrong and getting downvotes. But it also seems like people that use these tags get a lot of attention and upvotes. So I thought maybe if I just asked like this, someone might explain a bit.

Like if I start putting #proofofbrain or #neoxian on my comic book reviews will they get more positive attention? Or will they start getting downvotes? Or even #ctp or #leo? What if I talk about the values of the books in the post then does that make the #ctp and #leo tags okay? Which is better #leo or #leofinance?

Also I know a lot of these have their own Hive Engine token as well. Does this get rewarded automatically by using the tags? Or do I have to go to the apps, like leofinance.io for that to happen?

I also notice SPT exists for the #splinterlands or #spt tags. I assume this is just for Splinterlands talk. But I have seen #spt especially on other posts, like finance posts. I recently starting playing Splinterlands and it is a blast. If you were brought to Hive through Splinterlands, maybe this tag info will help you as well! (If you happen across this and read it.)

Any insight would be appreciated!
