Well, our car is in the shop for at least a week so we didn't get to do our regular afternoon hike. Fortunately, I had a very good and faster 6 plus miles in the morning.
It was a chilly morning with the temperature just at 39 degrees but the rising sun 🌄 quickly began to warm things up nicely.
Two miles looping around the road portion of my morning walk route to get me loosened up and tack on some extra mileage before heading out on the flat to gently descending roads towards Prescott center. The trafficwas quitebusy this morning so I turned back towards home instead of continuing on into the city center. This cut out about a mile from my final amount so it was a good idea to add on those initial couple of miles.
This was one of my fastest paced runs yet this year but still above 9 minutes per mile (which I want to be under).
Pretty soon I'll be wearing tights and long sleeve shirts so might as well enjoy these nice autumn 🍂 days.
