We had a long day on the road transporting a rescued Husky towards her new adopter up in Colorado.
Surprisingly my legs actually felt very good this morning despite almost 10 hours of driving yesterday (as well as way too much junk food) and I was able to start my run at a good pace.
I looped around our morning loop for the first 2 miles before heading up the half mile climb towards the quiet neighborhood roads.
I stumbled across a fat Bull snake sunning itself in the middle of the road. A short stop to move the critter to the safety of the brush before I continued on.
The flat to rolling route enabled me to easily keep my pace under 10 minutes per mile and and I finished up with almost 7 miles.
A very quiet and relaxed hike around Lynx Lake in the afternoon.
