It was another hot day but at least the temperature was under 90 degrees for my morning run but I'll be glad when I don't have to put up with the Arizona hot days.
We enjoyed a family walk early this morning and several of our neighborhood friends were also out walking before the heat rolled in.
Lulu was happy to run off leash for a bit and I was able to walk a faster pace as well.
My main run was a much quicker paced loop even with a tough mile long climb halfway through the loop. I was struggling just a bit as I neared the peak at 5 km but my legs carried me through quite well and from there it was a nice long descent towards the rodeo grounds and then home. I would have made 6 miles but I stopped short of home to say hi to my little Yorkie friend Jake.
A nice warm Saturday meant Lynx Lake was crowded but at least the trails weren't too busy and we could enjoy the early autumn scenery.
