Hi Everyone,
I’m back with another Actifit Report and Update. It’s been a tough two weeks for the dogs. Just like August last year, Ruby and Monkey were unwell again. Same problems as well. Ruby’s cancer returned and Monkey almost died again of low blood sugar.
Ruby had her cancer removed again and is recovering well. Her stitches come out on Monday. Monkey had many tests and scans. They all came back fine, but his blood sugar remained low. The most likely reason for his blood sugar crashing is infection and going too long without eating. He’s a very small dog. He weighs less than a kilogram. At the moment, he is still unwell. He’s gradually improving. The many tests took their toll on him. My sister has spent a lot of time with him getting him to eat. She also had three sleepless nights looking after him.
My Content
It has been just over a week since I have posted. I posted twice within two days of my previous Actifit Report. These were the final two posts of this year’s challenge series.
Challenge six was the Even-to-Win Challenge. Tiebreaker rules kicked in again. Many of these challenges have been close. Even-to-Win is a straightforward, but unpredictable challenge. Boxes only have a value if an even number of participants select them. However, the number of selections change with each new participant. A late entry can change the outcome of the challenge even if that late entrant doesn’t win.
Challenge seven, the final challenge, was the tax game. This challenge requires participants to set the tax rate for three years. They need to balance the impact of higher income from lower rates and more Government funded services from higher rates. The participants did a good job in this challenge. Most of the selected tax rates improved the country’s overall welfare.
After the final challenge, I could announce the overall winner. It was a close series with several different challenge winners. @emeka4 was the overall winner with a consistent performance. @emeka4 managed points in four of the seven challenges.
Participation was down from last year, but the turnout was still reasonable. Most challenges reached twelve participants. I will bring the challenge series back next year.
That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. I wish everyone a great weekend and an awesome week after that. Stay active if you can.
