As we age, we get to realize how important physical activity is to our health and well-being. There's really a need to engage ourselves in regular exercise, if not, even once a week, and sweat out in order to get fit and healthy.
On this occasion let me share with you how @melit79 and I spent our weekend actively trying a physical workout at a gym: my first time experience at Bogo Amazing Fitness Center Hub.
I have never gone to a gym to do any kind of physical workout but I make sure I can go jogging or walking even once a week in order to exercise and sweat out. I mentioned in my previous blog that this is my New Year's Resolution and I've been trying to keep this routine since the start of the year.
It was actually our long-time plan with @melit79 but only on this day that we got to realize this. And I hope this won't be the last!(chuckled)
Bogo Amazing Fitness Center Hub: The Location
Bogo Amazing Fitness Center is located at Sor D. Rubio St., Barangay San Vicente, Bogo City on top of Ze Marco Cafe and Restaurant. Situated on the 3rd floor of the R & F Building, gym goers should start the workout by climbing the fitness center through the stairs.
Reaching the fitness center, we found more males dominating the whole place which made me feel more hesitant and uncomfortable. But seeing also about 3 females that came ahead of us, I thought "keri ra ko ni!" (I could do this!) lol
Upon seeing us, the female in charge and instructor warmly welcomed and oriented us about the routine for beginners and the fees.
The Gym Fee
₱50.00 ($0.92) for non-members and ₱40.00 ($0.72) for members unlimited time. If there's anyone who could stay longer here. lol) In order to avail of the membership card, gym goers need to pay ₱200.00 ($3.67) as an annual membership fee.
The Beginner Workout
Looking at the equipment inside the gym, I just thought and felt this gym workout should be overwhelming and intimidating.(chuckles)
After a minute or two doing stretching, we were told by the female instructor that because we were beginners, we should start with the cardio exercise. She further reminded us to take everything slow and gradual until we undergo the medium to high-intensity workout "Can I survive, this?" I thought. !lol
Cycling
Guided by the fitness instructor, we started with the stationary bikes and continued pedaling for about 20-30 minutes. Whew! The first few pedals were of low intensity for a few minutes then I tried switching it to medium intensity until it seemed my leg muscles got stiffer and couldn't anymore make pedaling action. But for sure I didn't stop, but switch back to low intensity.
The Routine
It seemed easy but it wasn't actually! lol Let me show you the routine that we did and we had to repeat them twice. But of course, our fitness instructor reminded us not to put too much pressure on what we do but to take it slow, breathe and pause before moving on from one physical activity to another.

Battle Rope Workout
Throwing Fitness Ball to the Floor
Jump and Squat Exercises
Curl Up Exercise
It was indeed a challenging and perspiring effort to engage in this first-time experience doing the workout at a gym but I felt a sense of accomplishment surviving my first day. Sweating out through exercise is indeed an energizing and refreshing feeling! Looking forward to my next visit!

Just a Piece of Advice for Women Like Me:
Do not wear lipstick when you decide to do a gym workout so that the fitness instructors will know whether you should pursue the fitness routine or not! Your lips will surely tell them what to do!
