"We both lost our partners. How did you move on, how did you get over it?"
My mind flashed back to the day we got the news.
The best friends who got killed in an accident, leaving their partners alone, forced to console each other and in the end inherit their friendship.
"What makes you think I did?"
"If you didn't get over her, how did you remarry? Why did you do that?" She looked at me expectantly.

As he removed the ring, his arm brushed against the milk. "Ah!" he shouted, as it splashed both him and the floor.
Both the open carton of milk and the ring clattered to the floor.
Ned walked across the room, and grabbed a handful of paper towels. He dried himself quickly, and turned just in time to see a mouse tugging mightily on the ring. Before he could react, it gained momentum and scurried into a small crack in the wall.

“I know that you lied about getting the heroin from Mr. Harry just to save yourself. I know what a scoundrel you are, and I'm going to expose you,” Rita said, pointing a finger at her.
Timi looked at her, then burst into laughter. Suddenly, she stopped and said, “Get out of my room!”
“Do you have any conscience? Do you know that as we speak his sister and four children are at the gate begging and crying for him to be released?”
Timi shrugged, “well, good for him.”

"Natasha, stop cleaning, and Aaron, come over here." she called, venturing them toward the sitting room.
As they all got seated, Mrs. Edwin spoke. "I heard what you said to your sister, Aaron. Natasha, is it true?" she asked.
Nodding her head, Natasha stared at her brother. "A few months after the divorce, Aaron has been a scoundrel, but I understand him. The fact that dad left with another woman without turning back made him angry, and doing these things is his way of showing his emotions." Natasha replied.

o didn’t notice me and seemed to be muttering to himself. He was sitting on the ground with his legs crossed, staring at the wall and saying something inaudible. I wasn’t sure what was going on. It was kind of creepy, especially with the way he switched to different voices.
“What are you doing?" I said loud enough for him to hear.
Jo jerked, surprised, as he turned.
“Nothing,” he replied as he stood up and walked past me to the parlor.

He looked over at her. "You know, if we're going to handle this like professionals, we have to deal with what's biting us up", Femi spoke in a calm and reserved tone.
"I'm not doing that with you here" Ijeoma replied without raising her face to look at him.
"Why? Because you want to keep avoiding that, we need to talk," Femi said, leaning forward.
"No, because I'm not spreading my dirty linens in the conference room", Ijeoma replied, looking up now to stare into Femi's face.
