Introduction
Another weekly challenge launched (Splinterlands, 2022), this time about a card from the Life Splinter from the Chaos Legion set, the Chaos Knight.
I abuse the use of the Life Splinter in my battles (Greengineer, 2022-a), mainly with the use of monsters with the Sneak skill combined with Lorna Shine, but every now and then I build a team focused on Tank Heal and Repair depending on the conditions of the match and my opponent's history (Greengineer, 2022-b).
Chaos Knight was a more offensive implementation received by the Life Splinter, which is not usually the focus of users of this Splinter. I myself prefer to use Silvershield Paladin, which uses one less mana and has more HP, but there are times when this card shines. It even combined with the Silvershield Paladin against a Yodin can make a beautiful duo as seen in Greengineer (2022-c). But before we comment more about the card in battle, let's analyze it in more detail:
Shield: As mentioned above, this card rivals its use with the Silvershield Paladin (although its Lore talks about the Shieldbearer) and this is due to both having the Shield ability since level 1.
Giant Killer: This skill came along with the Chaos Legion set and from level 5 onwards the Chaos Knight can use it. The possibility of using a tank with 10 or more mana by the opponent makes this ability double the damage of Chaos Knight, making it shine from Silver League.
Inspire: Gaining this skill from level 9, Chaos Knight can play the role of Silvershield Paladin and Silvershield Knight in a single slot.
In the battle that I will present in this post, Chaos Knight was essential to protect my backline from a Yodin.
The strategy before the battle
The match in question had 25 MP available, only even cards could be used and all Magic and Ranged monsters had the Snipe ability. My opponent had a history full of battles using Yodin Zaku and Fire Splinter was available. I didn't have the Water Splinter at my disposal to use the Lir Deepswimmer as in Greengineer (2022-d) and there wasn't even Earthquake active to strategize like in Greengineer (2022-c), but Dragon Splinter was available so I soon remembered what I did in Greengineer (2022-e), where I put 02 tanks with Shield to protect my front line, the problem would be dealing with the Snipe ability of all your monsters, not to mention the fact that I would can only use even cards.
To counter Yodin, I combined using Summoner Quix The Devious with Splinter of Life, making it so that I could place Shieldbearer and Chaos Knight to protect my backline. The Shieldbearer has Taunt so I wouldn't have to worry about my opponent's Snipe skill, but he doesn't have the Shield skill, so I put the Venari Crystalsmith and Armorsmith on to increase his survivability. As there was a risk that my opponent wouldn't come with Yodin, I put Soul Fiend to protect my backline and Furious Chicken in second position in case there was any magic attack.
Once assembled, the team was to wait for a Yodin Zaku to appear on the other side and luckily for me, my opponent fell into my trap.
The battle
My opponent came in with Scavo Alchemist as a tank, with Molten Ash Golem, Goblin Fireballer, Xenith Archer, and Halfling Alchemist as ranged attackers, and with Antoid Platoon protecting the backline.
My history was full of battles using the Sneak skill, which explains the Antoid Platoon's presence there instead of being a tank. The Scavo Alchemist was just a bunch of HP to delay my access to your ranged attackers. Considering that all my ranged attackers would have the Snipe skill, his tank would only have to worry about my tank and a possible Reach monster and he had the Halfling Alchemist to reduce my attack, so the Scavo would stay alive for a few rounds.
At the end of the first round my Furious Chicken was eliminated, my Shieldbearer took 02 health from the Scavo Alchemist and its damage was reduced to 01 after the Halfling Alchemist's attack.
In the fourth round it was Scavo Alchemist's turn to leave the game. The enemy team couldn't hit my backline thanks to the Shieldbearer and Chaos Legion duo.
In the eighth round the Goblin Fireballer was knocked out.
In the eleventh round the Molten Ash Golem died, after many rounds taking 01 damage from my Shieldbearer.
In the twelfth round Xenith Archer left the match.
In the fourteenth round the Halfling Alchemist died, leaving only the Antoid Platoon that would not take any damage due to its Shield ability.
In the twenty-third round, fatigue eliminated the last enemy monster and my Shieldbearer was the last one standing, which assured me the victory.
As all of my opponent's attacks were physical my Chaos Knight managed to hold back all the explosions without losing any shield or health. This ensured the survival of my supports that kept the Shieldbearer alive until the end of the game.
Hope you enjoyed this strategy to defeat Yodin Kazu. If you want to follow the battle in detail, just go to Greengineer (2022-f).
PS: Sorry if there is any error in the above writing, as English is not my mother language.

Giant Killer: Esta habilidade veio junto com o set Chaos Legion e a partir do level 5 o Chaos Knight passa a poder utilizá-la.
A batalha
