Cine TV Contest #41 - Movie That Represents Winning

Hello CineTV

Apparently I need to listen to my wife more often...(don't worry I always listen to her!) Everyone seemed to really enjoy the Tom Hanks movie contest and I am very grateful to my wife and to you all for participating. There were so many choices of Tom Hanks movies and some really solid entries. It was difficult to choose but someone had to win. So let's get to the winners!

First Place

Our first place winner in this contest is @osomar357 with their submission about The Post found here: @osomar357/movies-tv-contest-favorite-tom-hanks-movie-is-the-post-the-dark-secrets-of-the-pentagon-en-esp

This is a great choice in that it highlights a dark time in US politics and has Meryl Streep and of course Tom Hanks. It is so hard to choose, but I loved this choice because it wasn't one that I would have thought of right away. Thanks so much!

Second place

The second place finisher was @ibraimpvzla18 with a review of A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood found here: @ibraimpvzla18/cine-tv-contest-40-a-beautiful-day-in-the-neighborhood-eng-esp

How could I ignore the melding of Tom Hanks and the great Fred Rogers? This is a fantastic choice and a great role. Great choice and great review. Thanks!

Third place

In third place we have @chacald.dcymt with their choice of The Terminal here: @chacald.dcymt/cinetv-contest-the-terminal-a

The Terminal is such a crazy movie especially because it is based on true events. Tom Hanks playing a role of Viktor Navorski, literally living in an airline terminal due to political issues. I think this is a fantastic review and choice. Congrats!

Congrats!

225 CINE COINS and 100 Ecency Points will be transferred to the winners.

Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!

And let's move on to the new contest!

Movie That Represents Winning

Write about a movie that represents winning.

On to our next contest! Thank you to @ecency for sponsoring our Cine TV contests! Check them out at ecency.com. 🙂

This is going to be a VERY special contest. One that is going to change the game a bit and I chose this topic because you are going to want to win this one! We have had some fun contests in the past but this one I already know is going to be one of my all-time favorites.

Enough build up, I am happy to announce, that going forward the contest winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) will receive the Cine prize, the Ecency prize AND you will now also win a custom Cine TV Contest NFT! That's right, now you will also have bragging rights with your very own NFT that will be sent to you and viewable on our Cine TV website: https://www.cinetv.blog/nfts/. Here is what the 1st place NFT will look like:

The hope is that this will be something for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place contest finishers to show off! We are extremely happy to announce this new feature and without further delay let's get to the details of this week's contest.

This week we are looking for you to pick a movie that represents winning. There is quite a bit of latitude in how you make your decision, so be creative! Make it a personal review and interact with how this movie fits with the contest. Here are some questions to get you going on writing your entry: How does this movie represent winning? What did the characters have to do to accomplish this win? Have you ever won in this way? Have you ever had a struggle that lead to an ultimate victory? Could this win have happened in a different or better way? Was it a team effort or did an individual lead to the win?

Be creative and make the entry your own! I look forward to reading your entries and seeing where people take this contest. Do me and yourself a favor and please do not plagiarize or simply retell the plot of the movie. Bring something fun and relate it to the theme and you just might win the first contest winner NFT! 🙂

Please check out the list of rules and suggestions below or feel free to ask me in the Discord channel if you have any questions (caulderfreeman). Enjoy this week's contest and good luck!
