1994 - Random Movies includes The Lion King

Two Star Trek captains fight this weird cloud lover in Generations. City slickers were hunting for gold like Jack Sparrow might treasure as a pirate. There was a pet detective saying crazy things and in another film he puts on a mask. Three ninjas were kicking back. The Flintstones was in live-action. Aladdin is back. Trump appears in the Little Rascals.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

1994-02-04 - Ace Ventura: Pet Detective premiered in theaters.

1994-06-14 - Ace Ventura: Pet Detective came out on VHS.

My Girl 2

1994-02-11 - My Girl 2 premiered in theaters, I've not seen this sequel film but did see the first one like on TV or something.

Monkey Trouble

1994-03-18 - Monkey Trouble premiered in theaters, I don't think Ive seen this but do remember the silly but funny trailers for this.

The Mighty Ducks 2

1994-04-17 - The Mighty Ducks 2: D2 premiered in theaters.

1994-08-16 - The Mighty Ducks 2 came out on VHS.

I've seen bits and pieces of the Mighty Ducks movies on TV over the years plus the trailers as well. I vaguely remember as the first movie came out and then as the next 2 films came out as well. It looked kind of cool and exciting. I'm more into basketball, but hockey is kind of fun too.

3 Ninjas Kick Back

1994-05-04 - 3 Ninjas Kick Back premiered in theaters.

I saw some or all of the 3 Ninja movies either in theater or via a television, in the 1990s, it would include this third film globally or second in America.

I wrote a bit about the first film in my 1992 post.

The Mommy Market

1994-05-13 - The Mommy Market or Trading Mom premiered in theaters and I think I saw the trailers but not the film. But interesting trailers of a girl trying to get a mother or something.

Aladdin 2: The Return of Jafar

1994-05-20 - Aladdin 2: The Return of Jafar came out direct to VHS, was not released to theaters.

I eventually saw this on VHS. I loved the first Aladdin film which came out in 1992. There were other films too later on and a cartoon television show too which I would watch as well.

1994-05-21 - Pulp Fiction premiered in theaters, I've heard about this film many years later partly since Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta, and Uma Thurman are in it, so I've seen a few scenes from it, a cult classic film I believe.

The Flintstones

1994-05-27 - The Flintstones premiered in theaters.

We saw The Flintstones in theaters as a family, I forget how many of us saw it but it was cool to see a live-action adaptation of a famous cartoon classic. I also like dinosaurs. So, we either saw it as early as May of 1994 or possibly later on in June at Cinema 7 near Safeway.

City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold

1994-06-10 - City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold premiered in theaters.

1994-11-09 - City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold came out on VHS.

I saw after it came out on VHS at Kyle's house. I also saw the first film at his house too. I grew to love those movies.

I mentioned what I liked about the first film in my 1991 post.

Speed

1994-06-10 - Speed premiered in theaters.

I've seen bits and pieces of Speed eventually but NOT in theaters. I did however remember watching the trailers, I remember being a little excited and intrigued by the car-racing scenes. It stars Keanu Reeves

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

1994-06-14 - Ace Ventura: Pet Detective came out on VHS.

I remember watching it on VHS at Bill Bailey's house, it was fun, surprising. I don't know exactly when I first saw this movie.

The Lion King

1994-06-15 - The Lion King premiered in theaters.

I saw The Lion King with my mom at Cinema 7 near Safeway in Forest Grove, Oregon, USA. I thought the movie would be boring as I could not tell what the story would be before seeing the movie. But I went on to fall in love with the songs in this cartoon.

Forrest Gump

1994-07-06 - Forrest Gump premiered in theaters.

I eventually saw it on VHS or on television meaning I probably first saw bits and pieces of this movie in 1995 at the earliest. "Run Forrest, run," they say and he runs. He says, "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're going to get."

1994-07-15 - Angels in the Outfield premiered, the trailers got my attention, angels were helping them win baseball games, one of the angels was the doc from Back to the Future. I've not seen it but was thinking about seeing it.

The Mask

1994-07-24 - The Mask premiered in theaters.

1995-01-17 - The Mask came out on VHS.

My younger sister, Crystal, met Janet Bailey probably around the summer of 1994 at the earliest or sometime in 1995 at the latest and I met Janet's brother, Bill, shortly after that. They lived in space 39 which was a few blocks away from our house. I remember walking down a road with some of them one dark night. We were probably going from my house to their house. They had a VHS copy of The Mask. I was a little scared and thought people should not watch it as the green Jim Carrey face looked demonic and such. They dismissed my concerns. I first saw The Mask at their house in January of 1995 at the earliest. We were already friends for a while when we watched it meaning we probably first met like I said in the summer of 1994 after Bhakti moved away. The Mask is pretty silly but kind of funny comedy adventure like movie.

The Little Rascals

1994-08-05 - The Little Rascals premiered in theaters.

I saw it in theaters, I was excited to see this reboot of the black and white original films from the 1930s which we had at home which I saw a few of. This movie had Donald Trump in it which I knew very little about at that time. While watching it, I didn't really think about who he was. I probably forgot that I also saw Trump in Home Alone 2 back in 1992, just 2 years earlier. This movie has a fun story where they have to build go-cart to win a race. The story also features a cute love story as well. What got my attention was the scene where he is swimming in a pool, when he gets out, his shorts or underwear falls off and the girl sees it and says something. They don't show it but they made some kind of joke or something about it. She was probably shocked and that got me curious and such. Perhaps, little kids should not see that. Perhaps, that scene was too sexual if you're too young or whatever the case might be.

Police Academy: Mission to Moscow

1994-08-26 - Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow premiered in theaters.

I first saw the Police Academy movies in the 1990s at Mike & Kyle Vanderzanden's house, they were my neighbors, space 162, we were in space 163. Kyle is around my age. The first Police Academy film came out in 1984 and the 7th and final film so far came out in 1994. I've watched some of them or I forget which ones I've seen but I do remember a few of them. They are fun films to watch.

1994-08-26 - It's Pat premiered, I've not seen it but saw the trailers or I've seen the Pat character on SNL in the 1990s.

The Next Karate Kid

1994-09-09 - The Next Karate Kid premiered in theaters.

I've not seen it but saw the trailers. My brother would watch The Karate Kid films and I particular remember watching the third film in theaters in 1989. So, I was excited to see that there was a new Karate Kid movie coming out.

1994-09-16 - Timecop premiered in theaters but I've never seen. But I love time travel. I should probably watch this someday.

1994-10-28 - Stargate premiered in theaters. I didn't see this particular movie or the Star Gate franchise in general until some years later or I don't remember exactly when and on and off ever since as I'm a big fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, Battle Star Galactica, etc, etc, and science fiction in general.

The Santa Clause

1994-11-11 - The Santa Clause premiered in theaters.

1995-10-25 - The Santa Clause came out on VHS.

I saw it in theaters and also at Bill Bailey's house too later on, that is after it came out on VHS in October of 1995. I love Santa. I love Tim Allen from Home Improvement. A good combination of both. I love Christmas. When watching it on VHS in 1995 or whenever it was, Bill Bailey's dad said that the one young girl elf, I mean old elf, looks just like Tiffany Cumbo, like similar nose and face and such.

Miracle on 34th Street

1994-11-18 - Miracle on 34th Street premiered in theaters. I saw the trailers. I may have seen some of this film on VHS later on.

1995-11-07 - Miracle on 34th Street came out on VHS and I probably saw it for the first time on VHS or at least bits and pieces. Well, I at least remember the trailers.

Star Trek Generations

1994-11-18 - Star Trek Generations premiered in theaters.

I saw it with mom at Cinema 7 around Thanksgiving and Christmas of 1994, around November and December of that year. This was the first Star Trek movie I've ever seen in theaters and I may have seen some of their earlier movies on TV, on VHS, and I would also watch Next Generation and then would watch Voyager. So, I prefer Picard over Kirk and yet I was excited to see both in the big screen.

The Pagemaster

1994-11-23 - The Pagemaster premiered in theaters.

I saw it in theaters because it stars Mack who was the star in Home Alone. This was a fun movie which would make Reading Rainbow's LeVar Burton proud, but don't take my word for it.

Junior

1994-11-23 - Junior premiered in theaters.

I've not seen this movie which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger but have seen the trailers. Arnold says either in this movie or in Kindergarten Cop, "It is not a tumor." He is like a scientist in this movie, Junior, they plant a baby or egg inside him and he has a baby. Now, this is the kind of movie meant to destroy gender. There are differences between males and females. Hollywood tries very hard to trick us into believing that biological sex does not matter. They turn men into women and women into men in order to destroy society and such.

1994-12-10 - Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla premiered in theaters in Japan.

Dumb and Dumber

1994-12-16 - Dumb and Dumber premiered in theaters.

1995-06-20 - Dumb and Dumber came out on VHS.

I remember watching Dumb and Dumber at Bill Bailey's house on VHS meaning I first saw it probably in June of 1995 at the earliest, that is when it came out on VHS.

I found the movie to be kind of weird, you know, kind of silly, but also a bit hilarious. I'm a fan of Jim Carrey. I found the dog truck to be surprising. Funny scenes. it is kind of fun to see two men act pretty retarded like clowns.

Richie Rich

1994-12-21 - Richie Rich premiered in theaters.

I saw it at the Cinema 7 theater with mom around Christmas of 1994, I was nine years old. This film stars Macaulay Culkin who was also in Home Alone which I cherish. This movie is kind of like Home Alone if he was really rich. It was a fun film to watch.

The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure

1994-12-23 - The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure came out directly to VHS, no theaters.

The first The Land Before Time cartoon movie came out in 1988, I might have saw that in theaters that year, I would have been only three years old. I remember sort of watching bits and pieces of the other films in this franchise in following years. I love funny cartoon dinosaur movies, what can I say?

Little Women

1994-12-25 - Little Women premiered in theaters but I saw it in 1995 via VHS.

1995-06-20 - Little Women came out on VHS.

I saw it on VHS, I think we bought a copy in the 1990s. I remember it being kind of weird but cute that one of the girls was named Joey. Hey, that's my name.

The Jungle Book

1994-12-25 - The Jungle Book premiered in theaters. I saw it on VHS later on.

1995-05-19 - The Jungle Book came out on VHS. I eventually saw it on VHS.

This was a live-action adaption of the cartoon movie. I remember it being pretty dark and kind of boring when I saw it probably in 1995 at the earliest.
