Twas a foggy night and time for the annual "Drive Around Town and Look at Christmas Lights Tour". I don't get a lot of practice with night time photography but I was pleasantly surprised with how these turned out. So follow along as we tour my small town and see some of the Christmas displays.
I like the sign out front reminding Santa that he needs to stop here. He is a busy man and I guess they want to make sure they don't get overlooked. 🎅
It seemed like overall there was a little more of a subdued nature to most of the displays this year.
Here are three examples of a less is more approach to holiday lighting. Low-key but still expressing the spirit of the holiday.
This one has a little more going on but not too over the top in my opinion. Also with the brighter display you can see some of the fog surrounding the lights. Below is a gif of the same house showing the motion lights in the trees.
My personal favorites are the displays with colored lights that have a deeper darker look to them.
A Christmas M&M in the wild. 😉
Understated but a nice variety of colors.
This display was some lights in the tress out in the yard. Well done in my opinion. 🎄
A bit of a brighter display.
The Santa Bear in the present went up and down and the candy canes behind him would change colors. I tried to catch these actions in a series of photos for a gif but unfortunately things did not work out well. lol.
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not I hope you enjoyed our little tour of the holiday light displays in my town. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! 🎄🎅☃️
