20210710 Bungalow construction (108 degrees) - day 4

Today's Saturday July 10th 2021.

Wooden sticks are quickly hammered in the ground and horizontals are swiftly cut to size and nailed to the poles. Adjustments executed on the fly. The floor of the future house is more and more defined by this wooden sketch literally drawn in 3D by the workers. Method and results are very sculptural.

The inside dimension of each angle of an isosceles pentagon (the type we use in this design) is 108 degrees. We cut a piece of wood at that angle to verify the regularity of our work. The way these points are defined is very approximate. Our main concern is the alignment of the foundation with the steel columns that will go on top.

The first delivery of river stones for the foundation arrives.
