I don't think I've ever heard of something like that happening with smart meters? But anyhow, the possibility of doing without large scale utilities would be quite difficult to pull off until energy

Would you happen to know the expected payoff for a standalone battery system, by chance? I don't doubt that car batteries would probably be more expensive, but they may perhaps be easier to get people
