Good advice. Writing needs to be cultivated as a habit. Just like practicing an instrument. Practice 10 to 20 minutes a day every day.

I practice my scales for a bit everytime I pick up my guitar. Being familiar with your scales all the way across the neck and knowing how they connect to each other really facilitates getting you to move
