In an update provided by ‘Championship Wrestling From Hollywood’ President and on-screen interviewer David Marquez took to Twitter to clarify that although Harley Race does have lung cancer, Ric Flair was mistaken, when claiming it was terminal.

I’ve just spoke to Harley Race’s family and yes he has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer but it’s not terminal. He’s being treated and supervised by his doctors. He is still very active in @worldleaguewlw and appreciates everyone’s concerns.
Last night, “Legends of the Ring” took place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is Atlantic City, New Jersey featuring Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan.
I attended this event & it was awesome. The most notable news was when Ric Flair revealed that Harley Race has terminal lung cancer. During this segment, Jimmy Hart, who was the moderator, was saying names of opponents from Flair’s past.
Flair spoke about how tough Harley is & told stories of Race smoking cigars, trying to fight entire bars full of people & how great of a guy he is. The revelation of terminal lung cancer brought a collective gasp from the audience.
Hogan continued to talk about Race and how he threatened to break Hulk’s knees when the WWF went to a specific city, before Race joined the company.
I can’t remember whether it was Kansas or St. Louis. But after Hulk came to the arena, Harley quickly warmed up to Hogan & they became quick friends.
Overall, the show was fun with candid stories about their careers & including many of the stories we’ve all heard before, but a number of awesome exclusives that I was lucky enough to hear live.
