A simple smile can light somebody else's day up. A simple smile can make somebody feel special and needed, a simple smile can encourage and make you, yourself feel better. A smile is a weapon, the good kind and saved in photos it brings fond memories whenever you are down and defeated.
Save a smile for yourself, one that will pull you out of a deep hole when times are tough. Do not stay in the past but remember, you are going to feel like that once more. Being down once in a while is natural. Make a genuine smile, one that makes you feel better. Burn the bad memories because there are and will be plenty of those. Cherish the important ones, write them down because it is easy to forget with time but when you have a reminder you can always revisit that beauty that once was and still is in the depts of your mind.
Live for today but learn from your past, smile as much as you can and it will be okay.
I have been running around the whole week and am taking on some easier tasks of Steeming. We are moving soon, life is busy, so much window shopping for furniture is happening it is ridiculous. :D We made a contract for internet, that took three hours of our day yesterday. We are figuring what kind of sofas, tables, and chairs we need to buy...
So, I am doing something fun and that I was challenged to do by @catwomanteresa who made a wonderful smile challenge post. When I read about it, the above image came into my mind immediately. I remembered being very well entertained by my pineapple boyfriend back then :D
This photo was taken more than two years ago when I still had my chubby cheeks, be them because of the few extra kilos I had back then or my still young teenager face, I loved that photo. And another funny thing is, you can see that my eyes are brown-ish there when now they are more on the green side. I lived in Ireland when I took this photo, not the sunniest place in the world...
I think this is one of the first photos in which I ever smiled with my mouth open. I do not tend to do that often but this was the time when I started to develop a sense of confidence in myself when I accepted my body for how it is and when I decided to do something to keep it fit. This is the time when I started to become an adult, I was in a transition(aren't we always? :D). I am still on that road, growing each day but I see how I was a typical teenager before this picture was taken.
It is amazing how a person changes over the years, even over a month. It is what we eat, drink, do, how we live and how we feel.
I come from a cold country, where not only the weather but also the people are a little frozen. My mom has a friend and I always remember how she smiled whenever I saw her, every day. I was told that people looked at her funny on the street because of her smile. They were not used to the positivity and there was a weird mentality in my town that only lunatics smile all the time.
But I admired her, she was always nice and sweet and I didn't mind when my mom talked to her longer when they met on the street. I would whine when she talked forever with other people but her, she was okay.
I sometimes forget to smile and for a long while, it brings me down as, with my feelings, I am an extreme person. I am either up or down, never in the middle and that is something I need to balance out in my life. I need to smile more and control less, I need to take life not as seriously as I do now.
So, let's smile more, to bring happiness to ourselves! Feel free to share your happiest photos, no matter how different you look in them.
