Food prices are getting out of control.

I don't normally make a big deal out of this sort of thing because inflation is part of life. We see prices go up all the time. Lately we've seen prices go up even more because of a variety of issues.

My favorite pizza almost doubled in price. That's okay. I just won't eat as much. However, I'm starting to see a lot of increases on things that we actually need a lot. For example, chicken has doubled in price this month. I've checked it everywhere. A bag of chicken that was less than $7 last month and is now $13. This is across the board.

When I checked with some of the websites they claimed that the chicken prices were always going to go up because Tyson chicken has to pay more now due to something that I don't understand. So chicken prices will forever now be almost doubled. This is a huge issue because I eat a lot of chicken.

It bothers me to see things like chips going up in price, but when I see things like chicken going up, that is a huge problem. If it's not going to go back down and none of us are making any more money, than it's just problematic...and it's something that we really need to figure out. How can they keep raising prices when we're not getting paid anymore? It doesn't add up in any way that makes sense to me. it just means we won't be able to buy things anymore.

Either that or we're going to have to start hunting our own chickens.
