This is what I learnt from this past year related to blockchain, crypto and how to overcome a negative situation.
It all started back January 2021, I was an active user in a couple of Social Network platforms based on different blockchains, such as Dtube, Creary, etc etc. I was also being experimenting with trading for the last couple of years. it wasn't much money what I was moving along the trades, something around 400 bucks. I decided as my goal to multiply that number x10 to the end of this current year, I knew it was gonna be hard but in my head I was sure I could make it.
I remember buying a couple of coins that performed amazingly while I was trading, DOGE and CARDANO, First month I already doubled my money, on March My wallet showed 2k and I was out of my mind, not only I was moving pretty fast towards my goal, I was conscious about what I was doing, it wasn't about luck 100%, so everything was going great.
I'm gonna remark a very important point here, which is the exchange I was using, ATOMARS. It was a relative small change, moving around 40 million a day in transactions, but it was trustworthy, (at least by that time) and as I said earlier, I was creating content on CREARY, so I was earning Crea coin, that was only in two exchanges, and ATOMARS was one of those.
April 21st, My wallet is on fire, 4.6k I was the happiest person in town, I was really doing pretty well on something I really liked and enjoy. As my money started to grow I was getting nervous about security, so I decided to spread the money through a couple of exchanges. I made a withdraw with a small amount of Cardano, and it got on "Pending" more than usual, hours, days, weeks, so I decided to try another withdrawal with some other coin, BNB, same problem. It was May and no news, no withdraws, the site was working perfect but you weren't able to take your money out.
June and no news, I already reached my goal by that time, my wallet was on 5.2k but I wasn't happy about it now, I was really worried about that issue, me and my friends and other users started a group to se what we can do, until we get some news.
Long story short, the CFO of Atomars, ran away with all the access keys and the site was blocked by the other team members to prevent him to steal our money. we did everything, an internal investigation, which lead us to the person that later we knew was the CFO, we even contacted Interpol, and to this day our money is stucked, I feel like I posted everything I worked for, so I decided to quit everything related to blockchain and crypto for a while. I powered down all my social networks, and bought one coin to hold and that was it.
A feel like a long time has passed since that problem, and I learnt that it was a risk that I knew it could happen, even I thought it would never happen to me, and also I kept repeating to myself that It was wrong to throw everything away for one bad experience. You need to learn from this mistakes and improve, and be better than you were yesterday, smarter, and also grateful.
I know it's time to set new goals, and start working on what I was building earlier. Be positive in life, no matter what, every negative situation is a tool to improve and be better in the journey to your own goals. I'm back, and I'm ready to let go what was holding me back, let's start over.
