The handiwork wherein people are self employed and dont work dont do clerical works but put there skills into effective use in other to earn a living e.g cobblers lovksmiths etc
the white collar jobs, wherein the employee does clerical work in an office and draws monthly salary at a fixed rate.e. g bankers
The difference between handiwork and white collar jobs is fading away with the passage of time due to the low pay scale of the white collar jobs and high demand of skilled labors.
People then to look for white collar jobs than handiwork especially Nigerian youths they go after works like bankers secretary doctors and even of recent as lecturers into university forgetting that handiwork pays better than these white collar jobs have seen youths searching for white collar jobs after school but could not find one for years but if he learned handiwork those years wadted in search of a white collar job he will use it to gather experience and get to know people and still earn a living
The white collar jobs mostly have a fixed rate of earning even when price of things rise during inflation they still earn the same amount thus finding it difficult to survival during this period but those that learn handiwork can survial during these period because they can charge their customer according to the current economy of the nation.
I advocate for handiwork
