What is all this stuff about witnesses? Well, these are the folks that make STEEM possible. They are the nuts and bolts of STEEM! These folks are the block producers, in other words every transaction, post, comment is dependent upon their equipment to be completed.
The equipment, or servers used to accomplish the production of these blocks is very expensive as well as time consuming to monitor and ensure everything goes smoothly. Many of these witnesses, although they do receive a little to recompense them for their investment in this equipment, operate in the red. They do this because they believe in the STEEM platform.
The witnesses I list below are all military Veterans from all around the world. They do a great deal and spend a great deal of money and time in making the STEEM Community a great place for all of us. They gave of themselves to their Nations and are continuing to serve by making STEEM a wonderful platform for all of us.
