Welcome to 2017!
I've been running the boatymcboatface witness and seed reliably and consistently since April 2016
I still believe in the steemit vision founded on the social esteem ideal and will continue to support the steem community and blockchain through hosting the Witness boatymcboatface as well as providing a solid Seed node.
Recently I have made a few changes:
- Originally hosted in AWS I now host both nodes privately and on a pair of dual Xeon bare metal servers with 16GB RAM and SSD storage.
- Purchased a domain to ensure reliable DNS lookup to the boatymcboatface seed
- Upgraded both witness and seed to v0.16.1 for stability, security and optimisations
