Daily Nature Fix: Waterfall Wednesday! (Original Photos)

Hi Steemit!  It's Waterfall Wednesday! Tonight's waterfall is a relatively unknown one in the south east of Iceland.  We found it while checking out a near by glacier.  While at the glacier lagoon Heinabergslón, we could hear a waterfall in the distance.  When we were leaving the area, that's when we saw a tiny sign that said "Bólstradafoss".  Down that road we went!

Bólstadafoss was a narrow, skinny waterfall that starts at the very top of a nearby mountain.  As you can see in the photo above, it's a three-tiered waterfall.  I tried to find some more stats on this fella, but I couldn't even find it anywhere on google.

The photo above was taken at the base of the uppermost fall.  I loved the blue water in the pool!  I wish I could find some more information on Bólstadafoss.  With Iceland's explosion in popularity over the past few years, it's really surprising there isn't more on this waterfall floating around the internet.  Oh well.  You guys got an exclusive look! :)
