Venezuela is replacing its national currency, the bolivar, with a new one that will reportedly be tied to its controversial "petro" token.
Interesting article, I'm not sure what to think of it, having a country tie its national currency to a crypto shows value in cryptos, having that country be Venezuela, not so good, they'll mess it up somehow and maybe give a bad name to crypto. Anyway, unless the crypto token/coin is limited to a set amount, I'm not buying. Venezuela is just going to 'print' these tokens like they printed fiat money, duh.
