I'm reading the Florida study that the Florida Department of Health is relying on for its batshit coronavirus vaccine guidance.
They used death certificates for the deaths, not medical records. And they used a cardiac catch-all of ACME codes I30-I52 (I3 is a typo). They didn't limit it to say myocarditis or pericarditis codes.
The study to its credit notes these limitations, but the Florida Surgeon General of course did not when he issued his guidance.
As always with anti-vaxxers, they rely on weaker data to stake their claims when higher quality data exists that refutes their claims. The CDC actually examines medical records and autopsies after a death is reported to VAERS.
The CDC has not seen any deaths causally-associated with the mRNA vaccines. There have been 9 deaths causally-associated with the J&J vaccine from Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome.
