A Man With Dead Philosophy

To all fans of the club this is someone who brought a considerable amount of success to Red and White North of the capital. His contribution towards the growth of the club over the years cannot be written off which cemented his standing in history books. Till date he's saddled with the task of bringing financial stability to the club after it moved from one stadium to another and he did exceptionally well but financial success is not evident on the pitch for quite some years.
Successful teams are judged by trophies won at the end, the club is failing regarding this. Has the so called Professor lost his hunger for success? Am sure success is never too much or who get tired of being successful? This is a man which stormed England when he was appointed in 1996, a man who made the fans fell in love with him with his entertaining football that even rival fans envy what he is doing and what he's going to do. Lately, nothing could be said of the latter.

He won the Premier League, FA Cup, FA Community Shield on numerous occasions in his first few years, guided the club to its first and only UEFA Champions League final in 2006 which he lost to Barcelona FC followed by three FA Cups triumph in 2014, 2015 and recently 2017.

Two trophies has always eluded him the UEFA Champions League and the League Cup, the latter he lost on Sunday to Manchester City(his third final loss in the competition) the same team which swept him off again on thursday . The three FA Cups won recently masked ten years of no success on the pitch with no trophy won in each season. This season is no different with only the Europa League representing the only way of getting hands on trophy after failing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in his reign at the helm last season. The chance of winning it is low considering the quality of other teams in the competition.

The question begging to be answered is what went wrong? The answer is simple; football has evolved since the turn of the century the Professor failed to adjust to it, his view of the game is outdated and not working. He has overstayed his welcome and Arsene Wenger should leave if he truly care about the club after all he has done and given his all. It is just time for a change!
