Project Details
I started with the translation of the Steem Whitepaper through crowdin because this is an important document that should be read and understood by every (potential) member. The aims of Steemit and the functioning of the Steem-crypto-ecosystem might be hard to comprehend in a different language, so I want to help the german steemians to get a clue of the deeper meaning of Steemit.

Translation Overview
The translated paragraphs contain a summary of the benefits of the steem blockchain for users and investors by providing examples from the free market. Beside this the texts give a brief overview over the two currencies STEEM and SBD.
Languages
The source language is English and I translated various paragraphs of it into German. The challenge here was to explain the mechanisms of the free market compared with Steemit in a way that a normal user without explicit knowledge of economy can understand it.
Word Count
The number of translated words in the source is 1484 words. This is around 10% of the complete whitepaper.
