Project Details
Node.js is not a programming language but could be considered as a JavaScript programming framework, although in reality, the definition of a framework is not entirely appropriate, as Node.js could be confused with an environment to create a particular type of applications. To be precise, Node.js is a framework/platform for running JavaScript applications
We therefore say that the most appropriate definition would be that of "platform for the execution of JavaScript applications", as we find written on the home page of the official website; in practice, it is a JavaScript run-time, therefore a motor for the execution of JavaScript code.
Introduction
I'm glad that on Node.js I have the chance to start a file from scratch and working to complete its translation: in my previous project instead, there were many files partially translated by other users that had just some scatter word or sentence to render and this sometimes need more time and makes your work unpleasant and confused.
As I have already explained, the whole Italian team is working on Node.js and we are processing all the first folder (API) files, following the descending order as much as possible, to give a better translation.
Contribution Specifications
This is the report of my 23rd translation of Node.js in Italian: I'm proceeding on the same folder called http2.md, and in this session I processed 1340 words to have more than 1000 clean words.
There's nothing special to highlight except that I found again the term raw we have previously decided, as Italian team, to keep in its original form, in order not to depart from its exact meaning.
RAW :)
Today I learned what a ALPN negotiation is (more or less): read more here or here.
Translation Overview
Error Handling
There are several types of error conditions that may arise when using the http2 module:
Validation errors occur when an incorrect argument, option, or setting value is passed in. These will always be reported by a synchronous throw.
State errors occur when an action is attempted at an incorrect time (for instance, attempting to send data on a stream after it has closed). These will be reported using either a synchronous throw or via an 'error' event on the Http2Stream, Http2Session or HTTP/2 Server objects, depending on where and when the error occurs.
request.headers
In HTTP/2, the request path, hostname, protocol, and method are represented as special headers prefixed with the : character (e.g. ':path'). These special headers will be included in the request.headers object. Care must be taken not to inadvertently modify these special headers or errors may occur. For instance, removing all headers from the request will cause errors to occur:
removeAllHeaders(request.headers);
assert(request.url); // Fails because the :path header has been removed
In HTTP/2, il percorso di richiesta, l'hostname, il protocollo e il metodo sono rappresentati come intestazioni speciali prefissate con il carattere : (es. ':path'). Queste intestazioni speciali saranno incluse nel request.headers object. È necessario prestare attenzione per non modificare inavvertitamente queste intestazioni speciali o potrebbero verificarsi errori. Per esempio, rimuovere tutte le intestazioni dalla richiesta provocherà l'insorgere di errori:
removeAllHeaders(request.headers);
assert(request.url); // Fallisce perché l'intestazione :path è stata eliminata
