2DTanks is looking for some tank designs.

2DTanks

2DTanks is a 2d tank shooter game that has his main mode set as 1vs1 now. The main ideea of the game is to allow players to battle each other with tanks on different maps with different environments. Players would see the tank from above and control it using only keyboard buttons without mouse.

Components

Components that will be affected by these contributions are mainly the tanks (Player 1 and Player 2), and the environments. The graphics I need for the game now are:

• 1 type of tank with it's size as close as possible to a square
• the tank needs to be created in 2 different colors (ex: Red for Player 1 and Blue for Player 2)
• you should not use gradients, the tanks will be small and gradients will barely be visible (but if you consider that your gradient brings a better look for the tank even on small resolutions go on use it)
• for environment I want to use small square blocks that placed one near another would form different bigger/smaller walls for the players to hide behind.
• the max resolution for all of the above should be 512x512, even that it's kinda big but Unity can simply resize them if necessary

You can see in the video that now I am not using square blocks to create walls and it's ugly this way.

Deadline

I will leave this open for the next 2 weeks, since I don't know if people are going to actually contribute to a game :) . I will post a small preview (if necessary) after first week to leave an impression on the designs submitted by that date.
