Dating back to the 40's in West Germanys province of Cologne,Joey White was a post office mail man before the world war 2,living in a little apartment with his elder brother Denger. They had migrated from Marsielle,France to Germany for greener pasture after loosing both of their parents to a shark attack in 1937 while touring a beach in Caen.
In the summer of 1944 while delivering a mail one evening, cupid struck when Joey ran his bicycle into a young girl.Anna Germington had picked up little bruises on her knee and Joey harbored her on the back of his bicycle to a nearby pharmacy. That was the beggining of a love story which Anna would have been happy to run away from at first instance had she forseen the nearest future.

Joey would always visit Anna and get her flowers on her recovery bed and it did not take long before he would fall heads-over-heel in love with the blonde girl from Cologne.A month after their intense romance Joey proposed to Anna and were joined but that same week the fuhrer who was the commander of the Nazi Germany Adolph Hitler had declared the commencement of the world war 2.
Each youngman who recided in Germany was declared a soldier of the Nazi at or against their own will or face their very imprisonment by the Nazi government.Joey was a recruit in the German Army in a matter of weeks and in same matter of weeks he had to bid the love of his life Anna Germington joey-adieu en route to a flight to the capital city of Berlin. He was off to fight in the Red Army and with time was ordered to join the jew-hunting army in Poland from Berlin and she would await his return or so they thought.
During Joey's time away from home,Hitler exiled Anna and her family to Siberia, and Anna couldn’t even leave word for her husband.
Joey on return to Cologne after 10months,spent
years looking for Anna .The two shared a
hometown, but Anna was barred from visiting it, so the two completely lost contact.
Anna was so dismayed at the disappearance of her husband that she nearly contemplated suicide but her mother then
destroyed all mementos of Joey and
Anna’s life together, including wedding
photographs and letters.She eventually
remarried. Joey,unbeknownst to her, did
the same after 4 years.
Years passed, and both lost their spouses.
And then, 40 years after Joey and Anna
had said “I do,” something mysterious and miraculous happened.
Anna at last managed to visit their shared hometown of Cologne and went to visit her favorite playground as a child when she saw an elderly man sitting on a concrete bench. It was Joey White. He had come to the
village to pay his respects at his elder brother Dengers' burial site, and when he noticed Anna, he ran up to her, recognising the face and emotionally in a true fairytale fashion.
While having a walk the next day(they had agreed to meet)they came across the same spot where Joey had knocked her over with a bicycle over five decades ago, there and then Joey knelt on his knees, fisted out the same ring he had used to propose to Anna on their first wedding and made a second but emotional proposal to Anna. She was 67 at the moment and they had a second wedding.Joey had other plans and they migrated back to France the following year. They adopted a male child which Anna named Denger while they lived another 25 years together.
Anna passed away at the age of 93 while Joey told their story to the the listening audience at her funeral to the emotional teardrops of the whole audience.Joey died in 1996 full of age and his story inspired a lot of young people through out Paris to Marsielle, his original hometown.
