Amazing Adjustments that Happened in my Life since I found Steemit.

Fellow eSTEEMed,

My journey to steemit wasn’t an easy one. As an undergraduate, trying to fend for myself because I know my parents weren’t finding things easy and I wanted life to be easy for my younger ones. I started out looking for menial jobs but medical school is not easy and getting stressed out affected studies. I changed to look for an easy job, got involved with some con men who asked me to pay a sum of 15 thousand naira before I’ll be given a job. I didn’t fall for their manipulations and I decided to find jobs online. I became a freelance writer, got duped many times as clients will collect write-ups and refuse to pay or they’ll just disappear.

I started to look for other opportunities online and I heard of Bitcoin. Some of my friends involved in it told me I needed money to start as a trader and I was living from hand to mouth, so I gave that up too. I started my search again until I a friend, @hornblende, introduced me to the @africaunchained company created by @destinysaid. I first thought it was a scam or Ponzi scheme and didn’t give much thought to it until memebers of the company showed evidences of pay-outs and I was convinced.
After writing my introductory post and voila, $30 just like that, more than I’ve gotten from freelance in a month. I decided steemit was home.

Writing on steemit and managing studies

To be sincere, steemit has been wonderful to me as a student trying to gather life skills to become one of the best in the labour market. I tried to join a literary club in school to learn to speak well and tried to join a writing club also to improve writing but both rejected my applications. But here on steemit, I’ve found myself to improve every day from writing and my speeches have improved as I read and understand more.

I try to do some steemit gospel, though I don’t write every day, I try to come on steemit to read and learn new things. Just as I chose my username, learnandteach01, I planned to learn and teach fellow steemians through my posts, but unfortunately, I don’t really get the time to write so the little I do is spread the steemit gospel.

I even try to tell patients in the hospital about steemit. Lol

Amazing adjustments

Before steemit, my social life was non-existent. But now, I come on to steemit to read and catch up with my friends. I do more research and I believe steemit helps me improve myself every day.

Every undergraduate loves to have scholarships. Steemit has been a source of scholarship and I’ve been able to buy more books and study materials from pay-outs from steemit. Life has been better.

My mind functions better. I think more in-depth and try to find solutions to issues. As a Co-founder of Air-clinic (I’ve not really been active there), the idea was to make health services easily accessible to people and less stressful. Many people run away from hospitals and they are seriously ill. I also try increase engagement in the Nigerian community by creating the tag #naija-matters for post on discussions by Nigerians and for Nigerians.

Come for the money, stay for the community.

I have come to love humanity and try to be a blessing to people. Learnt that there are many facets to life and loving other humans is a step to being happy. I have made friends I never thought I could ever meet.

I hope to write more and teach fellow steemians as I learn. Attend more meet ups, introduce steemit to more people everywhere I go.

I’ll always say, STEEMIT IS BLISS!

Thank you @surpassinggoogle for this opportunity to share with fellow steemians how steemit has impacted my life. I hope many continue to have positive impacts from steemit in their lives.
