Three (3) weeks gone and still counting in the Google Africa challenge scholarship, and also being part of the Adela Learning Community(ALC).
It’s being all about learning, sharing ideas and putting what you’ve learnt to work!
Review:
- I was inspired last week by one of the student. He’s physically challenge( can’t walk), but he didn’t allow that to be an excuse not to continue the challenge; He goes out to look for light in order to take his lessons and quiz ; why he shared his experiences was due to the fact that Many student complains of not having the right environment to learn (e.g challenge of light and data) . He encouraged those who had the intention of quieting not to; he made us realize that if could still be in the challenge, then no one have an excuses to quite.
- Last week lessons and quiz, was not as tedious as the previous weeks own.
I was able to complete two lesson which has about 23 topics in each lessons. I ask questions in the slack channel anytime I encounter issues.
I also help others who had challenges in getting the codes right
The week ended with our first meetup which I really enjoyed and I ulogged about it here .
It’s been three week into the challenge and this is the first time all the students are officially meeting in their various cities across Africa.
The week was great and inspiring in ALC! Looking forward to another great time this week.
Thanks for going through my post!
