Yet again another night of food adventure.
On my previous posts, I shared that my cousins and I had been to Otep's Lechon Kawali where we had great food, and the spicy yet rainy ramen adventure beside the road.
This time, we ended up at a place called "Kalye 12" (pronounced at do-se, the Spanish word for twelve). I didn't know the significance of the number but they sure offer a homey atmosphere but in the middle of the woods. The music was also great.
We ordered Crispy Kare-kare which we shared with each other, I only had fried chicken since I wasn't feeling very well that time, and one of my cousins ate a breakfast meal. The kare-kare was different from the one at Otep's. In Kalye 12, the crispy pata was mixed inside the bowl unlike the first store where we bought the same dish, they served it separately. No matter, it still passed one of my cousins' standards for this meal. Although the creaminess might have the meal mistaken as caldereta, another delicious dish.
They also had other interesting dishes, homemade viands, desserts, and even burgers and fries! Kalye 12 can be found near Calamba City Town Plaza. So if you want to experience something new, you might consider going here.
