#Ulog Psychiatric Nursing : Dynamics Of Behaviour Patterns and Symptoms Part1

Hello fellow steemians. I'm here again Rigel. Let's talk about my book named Psychiatric Nursing. And now we'll discuss about Dynamics of behaviour patterns and symptoms. So Let's begin. A pattern of behaviour represents an individual's typical way of responding to a threatening, anxiety-producing stimulus. During periods of conflict, frustration and anxiety, some patients act out a pattern of behaviour having a dominant characteristics, such as withdrawal aggression. These ways of reacting have been learned in attempts to adapt to life situations, but they may become grossly pathological in both their appearance and affects. When attempts to resolve mental conflict are not successful, frustration and anxiety increase. The outcome may be a neurosis, psychosis, or character disorder during which the patient acts out pattern of behaviour which typifies his defensive reaction.

A behaviour pattern is a syndrome or complex of symptoms observed in the actions, feelings, and thoughts of a patient's acting out. The individual symptoms symbolize the conflictual and defensive elements of an emotional conflict . They provide clues to what the person has been and is thinking, feeling , experiencing and responding to in his struggle to resolve conflict as well as to meet his deprivations and needs.

Behavior symptoms are not as easily interpreted or understood as are physical symptoms, such as a temperature elevation or localized pain. For these manifestations we have clinical laboratory test which yield specific information and understanding upon which treatment is based.
Owing to the interrelation of bodily systems, some behaviours are secondary reactions to physiological disturbances, such as those associated with toxic states, brain injury, tumors, and other bodily conditions. Others are the product of psychological processes of which patient has a little or no awareness. They are motivated by forces in the preconscious and unconscious mind which automatically initiate their appearance during periods of stress.

That's all for today. Thanks for supporting my blog especially to @hr1 and @pharesim
