ULOG#3: A week at work

After a month of being a bum, I'm back to work. I can tell you the first day was nerve wrecking. I mean the environment here is different from my previous office. It feels like a normal call center at the same time the structure is different.

For the first week, I was introduced to the team and I started to stay with the people I will be working with from here on end. I did not have a PC for the first two days and I had to seat beside Marge and Jayjay to observe the process and flow of the work.

I was given a laptop on the third day. I was surprised to get it and that I can take it home in the future. There are a lot of things here that surprised me, like the fact that I can use my phone on the production floor, I can also bring my bag with me to my desk as we do not have lockers. Food is also okay plus there is a cat roaming around.

Training here is weird, if I'm not on side by side, I will be asked to watch old training videos. Jayjay and Margie were trained over Skype. So yeah that part is unusual.

Work-wise I think I will be able to handle things well. I was able to process some orders, I just hope I did not mess anything up. They will most likely ask me to do more next week. I really just want to do it alone but I know it will be tedious for Jayjay to recheck my work after I'm done, I just have to get used to the steps asap.

How was your week?
