#ulog 13: A Date With My Wife

image

After a long and busy week my wife and I comes up an idea to have a date in a restaurant. This is what we usually do as a treat to ourselves since we don't have much time together. I worked 12 hours a day and she came home at past 7 at night. Good thing and it's holiday today!

We've been doing this even before our marriage. And we even call each other as food trip buddy!

We visited at Kuya Js restaurant located at Mactan Island Mall Lapu-Lapu, City Cebu. A nearby place from us. Their menu offers nothing but an authentic Filipino dishes.

Following are our orders;

imageHot and spicy dynamite

It is non-explosive! This finger food is a little bit hot and spicy.We do love to eat spicy foods, this menu is a comfort food for us. You are eating a whole chili covered with a lumpia wrapper and filled with ground meat and cheese. Hmm! wanna try?

A slices of squids dredge with flour and secret spices. Deep fried to make it crunchy. It is best time to eat while it's hot! Paired with mayonnaise then it's perfect!

An exotic Filipino food from pork ears, liver,tongue and face mask. It is an appetizer that you will love its tender and spicy flavor. Commonly it is served in a sizzling metal plates with top sunny side up eggs.

And now for our dessert, nothing else but their special halu-halo. A cold dessert consist of sweets, Leche flan, banana, macapuno, top with ice cream and chips. What makes it more special is they don't use an ordinary shaved ice, instead they use an ice made from a frozen milk. Who can resist it? Specially during hot days!

Conclusion
Don't wait a valentine's day to have a date with your wife. Sometimes as couple we also need to create memories to make our married life alive!

Your food buddy,

@juchi
