I love my parents. I love them very very much! ^^
I thought to myself that there are no other like them...
... and I thank God that they met each other, going through many trials in life and overcoming them with God's help and mercy...
... but sometimes I also thought to myself, "was that really a good idea?"
Meet my parents ^^ Sweet, loving, God fearing but kinda cringey at times... well actually most of the times, but nevertheless they were given by God to me and my brothers :3
I love seeing them happy and satisfied with each others company.
When I was a bit younger, they told me stories of times when we were so poor and were treated badly. We were struggling for resources (mostly food).
I remember, there came a time when I, my older and younger brother had to stay at our grampa's house in Bicol because there was no food left at our home. At that time, I wasn't fully aware of what was happening in our family so everything seemed normal for me.
My dad and my mom had a baby at a young age so it was hard for them to live together considering that they both have to temporarily stop continuing college, and that my dad's mom doesn't approve of their relationship. He took on many odd jobs just to support his baby and his wife and somehow or the other, with God's help and mercy, they were able to pull through... but I think those events/experiences had an aftermath effect.
Meet my dad (-_-)
cringey
silly
and fun :)... but then again it's still cringey.
You may not believe me but he actually placed fourth in the board exam for BS Agricultural Engineering. He was able to continue college after taking a leave of absence for two whole years, and after taking the board exam he was able get a job at IRRI after a series of events.
He taught me and my brothers various things. From cooking egg, dish washing, cooking rice, even up to his hobbies (electronics).
Now that I think about it, I was in grade 1 or so when he started teaching me about electronics and a few programming.
I love my dad, very very much! ^^ I love him and I always pray to God to always guide him in every step of his journey.
On the other hand, my mom took care of us kids while dad was at work. She had a frail body. So frail that she became crippled after giving birth to one of us. I almost cried when she showed me a photo of her during those times. She told me that her mother would also cry everytime she would visit my mom because of how thin she was then. There were times when she would bang her head to the wall over and over again because of the so much pain that her headache was causing her, and that she would forcefully shovel two whole fudgy bars in her mouth then drink a lot of water just to gain a wee bit of calories in her body because she was so thin then and that she had no appetite to eat. Often times when she did those things she would resist herself from puking. Aside from the health problems she had during those times, she also had to face many other trials.
Time went by and now she is doing somewhat well, awa't tulong ng Dios, and she was able to enter college again at the age of 35+. She took BS Accoutancy and graduated as a "-laude". At that time, she entered a university that was belittled by other greater universities but during a quiz contest she was the first one, in the whole history of existence of that branch of the university she entered, to ever placed as champion among the other universities. That made me a proud son ^^
After grduating, she took the board exam but sadly she wasn't able to pass all the subjects but now she's gonna go to try and remove the subjects she failed. If I remember it correctly, it was only three subjects.
Meet my mom :3
She's clever and smart
she's active
she's super active!
... a bit too active for us I guess haha XD
I love my mom! I love her so so much ^^ and I pray to God that she may be worthy of eternal life along with my whole family. Don't get me wrong, she's still alive... XD
'til death do them apart, but afterwards meet in heaven :D
I love my parents so very much! ^^
