Trump Asks Athletes to Suggest Names For Pardons | 2271

On his way to Canada this morning, President Trump stopped and took a few questions from reporters. He said he was considering a pardon for legendary world heavyweight champion boxer Muhammad Ali. Ali was convicted of evading the draft in 1967, but the Supreme Court overturned that conviction in 1971.
But then Trump went on to suggest on even more remarkably proposal that he is actively considering. Trump might offer NFL players – or players in any sports league - who feel they know people who have been dealt with unfairly by the justice system to recommend to send in names for consideration for a possible Presidential pardon as well. Initially, Trump was asked if Dennis Rodman was going with him to Korea.
