Cleverness is not true spiritual wisdom: There is a cleverness that is foul; however, he who does not have wisdom is a fool

The Bible teaches us that wisdom has nothing to do with the discerning of the wicked, cleverness is not wisdom. Wisdom as true spiritual knowledge, that is, as a science comes from the highest and the most perfect, and it is through the complete or benevolent men that it descends to men through the gift of counsel: listen (perceive with attention), meditate with intuition and inspiration, decide with creativity and discernment.
The main objective of wisdom as perfection is to defend and care for life, and everything that life as such implies, and this is happiness, joy, prosperity, and longevity; and those who reject wisdom only worship death, wisdom in this sense responds to the psychological drive of life in man.
It is understood that wisdom is a gift from God to men of good will. This is why wisdom is closely related to the perfection of the gift of fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, and stability) and the law of Moses, as the master of wisdom Ben Sira explained in his book:
"All wisdom is the fear of the LORD,
and it derives from the fulfillment of the law" Ben Sira 19:20.
And so that we grow in the path of the Lord, the wisdom teacher Ben Sira gave us a series of practical advices to keep in mind, which basically boils down to one principle: we live as sensible men or we live as fools:
"The knowledge of wickedness is not wisdom,
nor is there prudence in the advice of sinners.
There is a cleverness that is foul;
however, he who does not have wisdom is a fool.
It is better to be short of sense and God-fearing
than to be highly intelligent and violate the law" Ben Sira 19:22-24.
There are no greater blessings than wisdom and the fear of God, Ben Sira tells us in a few words, because these gifts edify and build bridges with others, when wisdom is shared it does not run out like money, nor do men have to war because of the gifts, because they are freely distributed among men, we all have the ability to do good. In short, when we choose to live wisely, we are building and constructing the Kingdom of God, the domain or empire of the divine perfections: "You must be perfect with your God" Deuteronomy 18:13.
Cleverness is not true wisdom. There is a cleverness that is foul; however, he who does not have wisdom is a fool. Ben Sira 19,23.jpg
