Did you know that water can exist in liquid, solid and gas phases at the same time?

Yes, you read it right! And it is called the “triple point” or the precise temperature and pressure at which the three states of matter mainly solid, liquid and gas coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium.

You can see in the gif strange boiling followed by quick freezing of substance inside the equipment. The phenomenon is identified as cyclohexane in a vacuum.

Lauren Davis explains that

"As the liquid boils, high energy molecules leave the liquid as gas, lowering the temperature of the liquid left behind and causing it to freeze. This process of boiling and freezing continues while the substance remains at this pressure and temperature."

You can watch the full video here in youtube where the scientists have sucked the air out of the container and managed to find a pressure/temperature ratio and combination which is near the triple point of fluid.
