Following an in-depth review of our curation activities since our last update, we've realized the need for even more refined guidelines. In response, we've introduced more stringent content checks for users initiating a Burn to Vote boost via Helios. For a detailed understanding, please refer to our newly updated content guidelines below:

Helios.Voter Rulers and Guidelines: 📜

  1. Relevance: Ensure content aligns with the blog's theme and interests.
  2. Originality: Submit original content, avoiding plagiarism and citing sources when necessary.
  3. Length: Aim for concise posts (minimum 250 words), varying as per complexity (e.g., art or photography posts).
  4. Clarity: Use clear, simple language for diverse audiences, avoiding unnecessary jargon.
  5. Tone and Style: Maintain a consistent tone suitable for the blog's audience. Respectful Tone: Ensure a respectful, inclusive tone, avoiding offensive or inappropriate content.
  6. Engagement: Encourage interaction through questions, comments, or related article suggestions.
  7. Guidelines on Content Focus and Sensitivity
    We are committed to fostering a diverse and respectful community. To maintain this standard, we kindly ask contributors to avoid posts centered on controversial political agendas or divisive subjects. This includes but is not limited to, content that may be seen as promoting specific political figures or viewpoints in a contentious manner (such as posts perceived as idolizing Vladimir Putin's stance on the Ukraine conflict), religious proselytizing, anti-vaccination narratives, or any other material that could be construed as spreading misinformation or inciting hatred.

Our goal is to curate content that is informative, engaging, and inclusive. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these guidelines.

Example of Review Process:

Recently, we reviewed a post that did not align with these guidelines. In the past, we have looked up to platforms like @ecency for their curation standards, but it has come to our attention that there have been lapses in maintaining these standards. In such instances, we will take necessary actions to ensure our curated content remains true to our community values and rises above the rest!

Here are two posts we have decided not to support, this is an example of how to be added to our blacklist:
@vp-freelance/hnspusgsbe
@vp-freelance/fascist-salute-will-not-be

Exceptionally, a refund was granted to the user in the scenario described above, owing to its unprecedented nature.

Moving forward... should a user violate any of the aforementioned rules and subsequently initiate a token burn that bypasses our pre-monitoring checks and does not pass the post-monitoring audit (occurring after the token burn), we maintain the authority to revoke any upvotes associated with the user. Additionally, the user will forfeit all rights to the burnt HELIOS tokens.

Repercussions:

If a user submits a post that our curation team finds to be inconsistent with the outlined guidelines above, we will respond to the post with a friendly message, offering constructive suggestions for improvement. Should a user persistently submit posts that do not align with our guidelines, we reserve the right to temporarily blacklist them from our mentorship program.

Here is our official blacklist below:

https://blacklist.helios.surf/blacklist.json

We also refer the @spaminator blacklist too:

https://spaminator.me/api/bl/all.json

We respectfully decline all curation requests from accounts on the blacklists above, and will not provide any upvotes to these authors. However, please note that we do not engage in flagging or downvoting of blacklisted content.

Any user placed on the blacklist retains the right to appeal their status through our Discord channel. If they express a commitment to adhere to our rules and guidelines in their future posts, we are open to reconsidering their blacklist status, allowing them the opportunity to restart their engagement with our program.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the HELOS community for the tremendous support we've received through the years, and to everyone who stuck with us through good times and bad. Recognizing the responsibility that comes with this trust, we are committed to refining our curation guidelines and introducing stringent content checks. Your confidence in us has motivated our team to ensure a fair, transparent, and engaging environment for all. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey! Anyone interested in learning more should feel free to join us on discord or simply ask us in the comment section below.
