Hi guys. Our third day is here. We got up at 07:00 a.m., filled up with energy-rich breakfast and got ready for our Srilanka’s first internal trip at 08:30 a.m. And just to know, the time zone is different here of course (GMT+1) or 4.5 hours ahead of Slovenian.

Our today’s first stop was Mihintali, a mountain peak near Anuradhapura, where Srilankas believes to be a site of a meeting of the Buddhist monk and the king, which inaguarated the presence of Buddhism in Srilanka. It is now a pilgrimate site with several monuments and abandoned structures. We had to climb at the top without foodwear and with clothes covering most parts of our body. Many monkeys jumping and laying around made the atmosphere even more interesting;)

It was followed by a short walk through typical Srilanka’s street market. There was a lot of local products exhibited and presented to us by the local guide. Mmmmm...;)

And Jeah. It was finally time for our first lunch, which we ate not far away, in one of the local restaurant. It was pretty spicy but delicious. The only bad things was eating meals without any cutlery (spoons or forks), but with your own hands. That’s supposed to be typical.:)

The rest of the day we spent driving around with jeeps in the Wilpattu national park nearby. It was very dusty, but exciting. We were observing various tropic - wild animals like (crocodiles, peacocks, birds, deers and much more, big lizards, etc).
