Khao Ngu Stone Park is a place where you can relax among amazing mountains view and wonderful lake view. It is situated in Rachaburi province, Thailand, not far away from Bangkok. (approx. 2 hours by car)
In the past, it was an old stone quarry; our government permitted a company to explode the mountains for rocks supplies in construction because of its good quality. That’s why these mountains have the amazing shapes like these.
These mountains connect in long distance, they look like snake, so we call it, “Khao Ngu Stone Park”.
Khao means mountain
Ngu means snake
Nowadays, this place was created to be a park for tourist attraction; relaxing place among nice nature, etc. It’s very peaceful.
There is a large bridge that across the lake in the middle of the valley. It connects the parking area to the floating walkway.
The bridge is a symbol of Khao Ngu Stone Park which was beautifully designed. It’s a popular spot that most visitors love to take photos with.
After crossing the bridge, you will walk on the floating walkway that leads you to the heart of the valley with stunning views of the calm lake and the steep limestone mountains.
I really like the reflection of sunset on the water.
As you can see, a lot of people visit there for relaxing and taking photos....
I think, they would especially have romantic moment in those pedal boats among very nice atmosphere!
Apart from amazing nature during daytime, Khao Ngu Stone Park is also famous as one of the most beautiful places to see fireflies. After the sunset and when the sky is covered by darkness, you will enjoy seeing beautiful light from many fireflies all over the area. This can impress most visitors very much.
Furthermore, there are many historic caves in those high mountains that you can climb up the stairs to see the amazing things inside such as rock carving of Buddha images, panorama view from high, etc.
Besides, you will touch cool air over there, for sure.
I would highly recommend this place, Khao Ngu Stone Park, for you. It’s really amazing indeed! ;)
