Travel Pro Tip - Gummi ... ummm Bears? Mistakes were made - Gummi's were lost.

Pro Tip - Travel Food and Snacks

Yup - Gummi Bears are awesome... they are tasty for kids and adults alike. They have plenty in the pack to share. They go well on car rides, parks, hiking, all of it but they have 1 down fall you have to watch out for.

If you are a great dad like I claim to be, and pack Gummi Bears and tell your kids. Make sure NOT to leave them in the car, in 95 degree heat with the rest of you snacks (more on that later) and have this happen as you spend 10 hours playing in the amusement park

Yup - One big bag of hot, gooey gummi genocide.

Not a single one made it, there is nothing left that even looks like a bear. They life cycle is complete, they are one with the Great Gummi. Guess they can't take the heat, then again not much did. I am not sure how hot it got, with 95 outside, in the sun, windows up...

No - we did not eat them, or even try them.

What else

Oreo cookies - they basically melted - erred fused? I don't know, I didn't take the out of the zip lock back, but knew they were gone. Nutty bars on the other hand, they held up like a champ. Somehow the chocolate that melts on my fingers eating, just stayed the same. We had a few water bottles that made it, but felt like they were ready to brew some tea. Thats it, most of the the food in the car, went straight to the trash.

Get a cooler

But after our flight was delayed we got the hotel at midnight, and we had to be at the park at 7am to register... Its not like we had time to go buy one. we fixed that the next day with the $7 styrofoam cooler from Wal Mart - that will get donated at my last hotel with a free sign. Hopefully some other family can use it before it goes to the land fill. I swear there is a business model in there.

Travel on!! Senstless
