magnificent first mosque in South Korea(travel)

The Islamic Center of Seoul is the first mosque in South Korea. Located in Itaewon area, Seoul, South Korea and opened in 1976 precisely in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu. Construction of the mosque began in October 1974 on a piece of land (5,000 m2) donated by the Korean government.

Funded by Islamic States, the mosque was officially opened on 21 May 1976 and still stands firmly between the Hangang river and Namsan Mountain. The first floor of the mosque is the meeting room and the Korean Muslim Ferderasi office. D on the second floor is a 427 m2 man-made worship place and on the third floor of a special women's worship.

Mosque Islamic Center in Seoul was originally only two storey (1,362 m2) just for worship only. However, assistance from the third floor Saudi Arabian Islamic Development Bank on July 20, 1990 can be used.
