Mochima National Park
The Mochima National Park is located between the states of Sucre and Anzoategui in eastern Venezuela. It was decreed as a national park in 1973. It extends along the maritime coast of Venezuela between the cities of Puerto la Cruz and Cumaná. It is constituted by a group of islands as well as mountains with leafy vegetation.
There are beaches with access by road such as Playa Arapito and Playa Colorada, as well as beaches on the islands such as Playa Las Maritas, Playa Blanca, Cautaro Beach, which can be reached from different jetties in the area, among them the town of Mochima .
It is ideal for water sports such as scuba diving and sailing thanks to its warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. The beauty of the park, lies in the combination of mountains that fall to the sea, spectacular beaches, lots of islands (many of them practically untouched). Also, if you are lucky during the trip in the boat or rock you will see dolphins very close ...
Mochima is one of the most spectacular tourist destinations in Venezuela. Playa Colorada is world famous for its fine golden sand, almost reddish, which gives its name to the place.
Playa Blanca is a beach with crystal clear waters and green tones, very white and fine sand. It has all the services and is one of the favorite in the area.
this area has a large number of islands with crystal clear waters, but a coast of lovely beauty, very warm waters and sun for almost all the year, its white sands and its sea as clear as a pool invites the enjoyment of all, the national park mochima is one of my favorites in venezuela
