Hey Steemians! Today, I want to share to you the refreshing place called "Man Made Forest" in Province of Bohol, Philippines.
Man made forest
is stretching in a two kilometers stretch of densely planted Mahogany tress located in Loboc Bohol province. Man made forest was part of a bigger reforestation project that was created in response to the alarming deforestation in the Loboc watershed.
This was caused by destructive slash and burn faming system called "kaingin", which was done by the locals who sought refuge in the forest area during World War II.
And it was a successful part of LWRP due to government employees, laborers, students, scouts, pupils and socio-civics volunteers who came in droves from 1968'd to late 1970's to plant some seedlings taken from the nursery in Logarita in barangay Riverside, Bilar.
