A Beautiful Day at Beaver Pond

Denmark, Maine - USA

Summer is coming to a close and I'm getting an itch to hike and explore the outdoors. I'd love to get up to Maine for a trip to Acadia National Park before the winter weather hits. I've only been to Maine once in my life. I stayed in a Yurt and brought a kayak to paddle around the waterways. The Yurt that I booked through Airbnb was located near Beaver Pond in Denmark, Maine. It was part of a nature retreat called 'Nurture Through Nature'. It was a cool experience, and I recommend it if you'd like to spend some quiet time in the woods. The photo above is a look at Beaver Pond. The water plants were in blossom with purple flowers. In the background you can see the green, hilly landscape of Maine. I kayaked and swam in the pond before heading back to the Yurt for a wood-burning sauna session. Hopefully I will find a chance to visit Maine before year's end. As you can see, it's a beautiful place to be.
